Software component packaging tool
| PackageBuilder enables "parts-packaging" of a software component. An application, library, middleware, OS, or device driver can be intuitively configured, built, or debugged with eBinder's development tools or features when built as a parts-package. PackageBuilder is also used for developing a BSP for a custom board. |
| Issues with software components |
| Usage of modular software components is popular as a means to reduce development time for embedded systems. But taking advantage of software modularity requires knowledge of the software's specification and structure. With the complexity and performance of software components growing, the burden on developers is getting heavy. |
| Parts packaging is the grouping of a software component or components with its configuration and build information into into an XML file. A parts-packaged software component is easy to reuse and redistribute compared to most other methods. Parts packaging ensures efficient development with eBinder.
| There will be no need to analyze source or headers for configuration, or to reset text-based configurations. The configuration can be entered through eBinder's GUI screen, and errors can be discovered automatically at that time. |
| Manage build information such as the compile options or file dependencies of a project through eBinder's build window. The process from build to load is much smoother with parts packaging. |
| Check the internal status of the kernel, TCP/IP protocol stack, or file system at any moment during system execution. |
| eBinder provides a common development interface for parts packages |

| Parts packaging assistance tool |
| PackageBuilder is a tool to turn a software component into a parts package. PackageBuilder has the following features: |
| * |
Defines configuration item locations and values for the GUI configuration screen |
| * |
Creates a build set with file dependencies, compiler options, etc. |
| * |
Outputs a template for a routine to get internal information during system execution |
PackageBuilder is an optional product for eBinder. It operates on the same environment that eBinder runs on. |
