A development model for use with eBinder and T-Engine is discussed in the T-Engine forum site. |
| Development suite for T-Kernel-based systems |
| eBinder for T-Engine is the first integrated development environment for T-Kernel-based systems that operate in the Windows host environment. An easy-to-use GUI environment assists in the development of T-Kernel-based applications. |
| Ideal for migration from µITRON |
| eBinder for T-Engine assists with task-based application development using T-Kernel, a realtime OS based on the T-Engine standard. T-Kernel's APIs are similar to the µITRON APIs to make migration easy. |
| Configure a system template by setting up a T-Engine board and eBinder and choosing the required parts packages such as the realtime OS, middleware, drivers, etc. Configure the selected parts packages and start debugging the application right away. Use the dynamic loading feature to gradually build modules within the application and prototype the system. |
| Supporting software components |
| eBinder manages software components in "parts packages." A parts package contains software (source or binary code), configurations, build settings, and a support program to use in debugging or evaluation (source or binary code). Distributing parts packages encourages the reuse of middleware and reduces development time and cost. |
| eBinder can control the execution of each task independently. To verify system behavior, you can break any given task while other tasks and handlers continue. Also, you can open debug windows for a combination of interacting tasks, and thus verify synchronization or mutual exclusion. This multi-task debug feature helps ensure a high-quality program. |
